GDT #33: May 7, 2014, Cardinals (Wainwright) @ Braves (Minor) 7:10 PM EST

Ok. Enough of watching these ****ing train wrecks. This is a God awful **** show.

****ing hungry hungry hippos behind the plate to boot.

Take him out. Lol minor is showing me nothing right now. You have nights like this, but my God don't be an idiot and leave him.

Fredi appears to have conceded this game to give Minor a chance to work out some problems.

I'm ok with that.

Long season boys, still have plenty of team to rebuild our cushion in the division.

lol when Gattis isn't in the game, you guys are pissed off that Laird or Doumit is catching and NOT Gattis. Now that he's in the game and his defense isn't as good as Molina's there's a huge meltdown.

Fredi can't win.

You do have a point, considering it's Wainwright. But he's not really working on anything. He's putting everything over the middle belt high. I think either he's just going back into his mental shell, or he's not right physically.

Hale will shut these pecker birds down.

So you aren't even a tiny bit concerned?

Why would I be concerned? Do you really think we're the team that's showed the last week and a half, or the team that was one of the best teams in baseball for most of April.

It's the beginning of May. If this were the middle of July or August, I'd be somewhat concerned but I'm not.

Fredi was letting Minor work out some problems instead of sending him back to AAA which would've done him no good. Do you think this is the real Minor, or the Minor that was a strong #2 for us the last 2 seasons?

The problem you guys have with being pessimists, is any sign of a flaw is doom.

Concerned about what? They've hit a skid, it's obvious!! What do you expect them to do? They are doing what they can and playing through it. Tonight was a bad night for Minor, it happens. I'm confident if they keep Uggla outta the lineup, they'll fix it.

Minor has been aggressive in the counts. As Chip said he was 16 out of 24 first pitch strikes. He was ahead in plenty of counts but couldn't put hitters away. Considering this is his second start back, I'm not too concerned he just needs to get back into a groove and re-find what works for him.

All you can do is laugh..this team is an effing joke. What do people expect our pitchers go to the mound every night thinking they have to pitch a shutout, the ammount of pressure on our starting staff is crazy. Unfortunately I do not see anything changing anytime soon.

I would suggest not continuing to throw first pitch fast balls when the Cardinals are being aggressive. I think he'll find his groove, too. This team is just slumping right now.

The only thing that chaps my ass is trading Wainwright...while Bow Tie boy sits up there in his box suite drinking the finest scotch. Makes me sick every time I see him pitch vs us.

What makes the team in April the real team?

Obviously they aren't as bad as they are now, but they aren't as good as April so it's somewhere in between.

The problem with this team is the offense and the bullpen outside of Kimbrel are below par. If the starter doesn't give us 6-7 IP and 2 runs or less, we are in trouble.
