I personally think this is the best lineup Fredi has assembled this year given the circumstances. Expecting big things from our offense tonight.

Very warm for San Fran today, should be a good night for the bats. Keep em in the park, Mike.

Can we finally start hitting? Vogelsong's a pretty average pitcher who doesn't strike a lot of guys out. I'd say tonight we break out but we should have done that already.

even the usual lineup construction complaints should be muted tonight.

Really hope Pastor takes the opportunity and grabs it. It's now or never for him, if he fails TLS will be up in early June.

I think the benching of Uggla means the Braves must have finally come to the conclusion they have to get rid of him, how and when is now the question, but my guess is by June 1st Uggla will be gone and if Pastornicky can't get the job done we'll see LaStella. I also would like to see either Pastornicky or Simmons leading off and Jason Heyward moving down in the lineup. I think he would relax more.

Pena's D is way more shoddy than Pastor at 2nd.

Looks like it's Pastor's to lose. Uggla is essentially out and TLS will be given a chance if Pastor fails... then looks like a TLS Pastor platoon perhaps.

Why does Mike Minor pitch up so much? He obviously does it on purpose. I was always taught to work down; and if I go up, go way up. He seems to be in no mans land when he gets hurt.

That spike curve is the pitch of the decade. I read an interview with Alex Wood and tried it with Lil Guv, who learned it in five minutes. Struck two guys out with it last night. It's easy to throw and easy on the arm. It's a little shorter than a real Koufax/Kershaw one, but harder to recognize.

BJ to the umpire. "Do you think I suck?" Umpire responds. "No doubt." BJ is unclear with his answer and asks again. Umpire responds with same answer as before. BJ acknowledges by nodding his head up and down.

looked like they plan was to only throw off speed pitches for strikes vs gattis.

do the braves lead the league in striking out looking?
