He's never been a pitcher who missed a lot of bats.

I know, he pitches mostly to contact. But I double checked and his velocity was better to the first batter. But that last batter he was 85-86 mph. So maybe just amped up to the first batter. Time will tell.

Actually he's always been a decent 3.50 ish era pitcher. You literally don't follow anything about baseball. He's not a K pitcher but he's solid for a 4 or 5.
