Simmons has a good contact rate. He just has to stop hitting so many pop ups. That will solve most of his issues

I love his contact rate. Without looking it up, I'd guess it's very good compared to the rest of the league. I think his pop ups come when he's trying to destroy the ball. Maybe this season he will finally just let his beautiful swing drive the ball. He doesn't need to be a power hitter.

Simmons is better usually vs lefties and has good numbers vs Niese, including a .333 average coming in. He should've hit second today and not the other day. Gosselin shouldn't even be playing, esp. over Peterson.
