GDT: 4/10/'15 - Atlanta Braves (Stults) vs. New York Mets, Fredi showing off again.

Is Atlanta a reliever factory or something. No runs allowed so far and even the guys we traded to make room for them are lights out. Kimbrel 1 inning no runs. Varvaro 1.1 innings scoreless tonight/0.00 ERA. Shreve 3.1 scoreless innings tonight/1.93 ERA. David Carpenter 1 scoreless inning tonight/0.00 ERA. Hoover 1.1 scoreless innings tonight. Then theres that guy we were all mad about trading Walden giving up a run on 0 hits. We could have fielded two teams worth of bullpens this year.

Roger that.

Small sample size alert:

The following teams are 4 of 5 of the teams who have struck out the least in the 2015 season (in order):

Kansas City
Detroit
Atlanta
Colorado

Their combined record you ask?

16-0.

Yes my friends, baseball is changing.

This team, which is 4-0 and 2 games up on the next best team in the division, is the absolute best troll ever.

No, but its time to start admitting that its not a disaster like some were so sure of in the offseason. Still will be lucky to get to 500 but thats ok for this year.

I know it's only a really small sample size but I'm starting to wonder if they can compete for the 2nd w/card. They are getting timely hitting and great pitching. That's a recipe for success. I know it's early and they'll be some ups and downs but tell me why we can't compete again?

For me its still an unknown because I have no clue what Cahil and Minor are going to look like. Now if you tell me that you know they are going to bounce back then I definitely think they will be in the mix come September.

Baseball is back to where it was before PED's. You pitch, catch and put the ball in play and good things are going to happen. Its not beer league softball where you just look for one area in hte zone and swing really hard.
