GDT 4/10/25: Braves vs Phillies - Let's Win a Series

Montero looked good. Let’s hope it wasn’t a one-off. Hell, I really have no complaints on the pitching staff. If they can get going offensively and get some kind of identity I still think they can make a nice run. Getting Ronald back and being Ronald and Strider doing his thing, I’m not in panic mode. It’s freaking April.

saurez should be the last man standing in the pen. I think he is a better version of Chavez at this point. If ManBun can show anything in AAA then he can replace Suarez. That or have Elder replace Suarez when Strider gets activated.. but knowing AA, he would rather stash Elder in AAA as depth.

speaking of manbun.. he hasn't pitched yet.. wonder if they changed their minds or he is hurting??

Interesting on CK.

Verdugo didn't play yesterday. Wonder if he's about to join team today. I know you don't like him, but he's an actual mlb player and we currently have 2 RH OF on the bench.

I get the theory behind it. I really do. But Harris has been absolute trash vs RHP and LHP this year. The point I'm making is I don't know that it really matters when Harris is hitting this poorly.
 
I'm trying to assume these guys will progress to their career numbers. Harris is 120 wrc+ vs rhp. Again, Ozzie is a 95 wrc+ career vs rhp. There's absolutely no reason for Ozzie to be anywhere close to the top of the lineup vs a rhp.
 
Spencer Schwellenbach's first three starts of 2025 have been beyond impressive: 20 IP, 10 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 19 K. That's a 0.45 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, 4.2% BB and 26.8% K. He may be a top-5 pitcher in the game before long... If he's not already.

Yes. You move to Vegas until November, Turbo’s cat keeps wearing a sweater, we keep a fan dressed like Ozuna, Mississippi stays drunk, Slippy keeps making the GDTs, and we should be all set.
