GDT: 4/10 Braves @ Rockies

I would go with Folty, Gausman, Julio, Fried, and Wright until Soroka gets back and replaces Wright. Start transitioning Newk to the bullpen. I really think that role would serve him better and he'd have a chance to go all out for short stints.

If this isnt a fluke, i think Folty, Gaus, Fried should be LOCKS, Soroka when healthy is a lock, now that last rotation spot with Wright, Julio, Newk is up in the air. Newk in the pen is interesting, still wish we sold him this winter.

Looks like Braves skipping Kyle Wright this weekend.

Gausman, Newk, Julio, Fried vs the Mets in that order.

Folty replacing someone next week, just depends who does what this weekend to prove if they belong or not.

matchups:

Gausman vs Matz
Newk vs Wheeler
Julion vs Vargas
Fried vs DeGrom

I can’t remember but didn’t the Mutts jump out to a 12-2 record last year and then played us and promptly feel apart. Or were they already falling apart before they played us.

The Mets just don't really scare me right now, despite their improvements. If we get to late June and their pitching is still healthy and their lineup is still producing, then I'll worry.

The Phillies are gonna be tougher than I originally thought, but I still like our chances against them over 162 games. The Nats are still the team that concerns me the most.

All of this. Since Day 1.

Philly's way better than i thought, but i agree with this as well.

Seems like all 4 NL East contenders are going to beat up on each other all year, so it may come down to who takes care of business vs the Marlins.

Once we sign Crimbrel after the draft our pen is going to round out nicely, plus our starting staff will be healthy by then because no more Tehearn or likely Newk either.

Philly will also be playing us at full strength because JD Drew will have had more than enough bats that he missed from spring training and will be hitting homers again.

Did the Braves beat the storm and get out of town before storm wiped out most travel?? Have they made it back to Atl safely??

Braves didn’t announce before they left Denver and I spent day checking out of hotel early and going standby on Delta to get on a flight before they shut ‘em all down. Got on next-to-last one that wasn’t cancelled as snow intensified. So didn’t check yet on pitching.

I've said it in the offseason, I think its possible that 88 wins might take this division just because there are so many good teams in the east and the NL in general.

6-0 Nats, bases clearing double for Rendon. I'd love to see him in a Braves uni, he's sooooooooooooo ****ing good.
