GDT 4/13/24: Braves at Marlins - Acuña Matata

If teams would bring up a AAA starter for every game vs the braves, the Braves wouldn't make the playoffs
 
The braves must have the best scouting dept there is or the hitters do great homework bc they stink vs guys they haven't saw before
 
This team is not what it was a year ago. With Spencer down they need a kick in the rear. The division may be up for grabs after all.

The team hitting is basically the same outside of Acuna. Ozuna mashing early this year but Murphy being out kind offsets each other. Pitching wise we spent most of the year without Fried and this year we lost Strider. The rotation is probably a downgrade but Sale could come through for us. Maybe AJSS figures it out and earns a permanent spot in the rotation. The point is the goal isnt to be the best team in April. We want to be the best team in October and a lot can change between now and then.

The offense is #1 in BA, OBP and SLG. They have scored 82 runs in 13 games.

I think the Braves are doing just fine.

I think he could put up a 4.5 ERA which is good enough for us to win a lot of games he starts. Might not go well vs the Astros offense though. I hope he gets more than 1 start to see if he can stick.
