GDT 4/14/24: Braves at Marlins - Charles in Charge

As usual the Braves have to defeat the opposing team as well as a manager who leaves SPs in too long and can’t make obvious moves the roster was designed to facilitate.

The entire pitching staff is suddenly struggling to get out a team who seriously cannot hit to save its life. Awful

Then you have a LHP facing Harris and TDA sucks.

A LHP would have faced Harris regardless. Now the inning is over. Which is worse?

That PA either should have been Kelenic vs the RHP or TDA vs a LHP. This lack of tactical competence will happen in October, just like it always does.

I take Duvall over TDA or Kelenic vs LHP.

But, let’s be honest. Snit probably wasn’t even thinking about it that deep. He was more like, “DURRR Duvall hit ball far durrr.”

No idea if they had a LHP warming up, but they should have. If they didn’t have a LHP warming up then not using Kelenic is inexcusable.

Snit is just barely more valuable than an empty bucket of bubble gum.

Meanwhile the entire rest of the bench sits idle while Duvall got to flail away at sliders vs a RHP with runners in scoring position.

Well done Dino-snit! Bravo!!
