GDT 4/15: Time to turn it around

Marte, Anderson, Jazz (so far) and maybe Rojas? Aguilar is meh, Cooper is undisciplined and Duvall isn't very good. They're getting hurt by the meh hitters.

Aguilar last 4 seasons WRC+ 114, 135, 89, 122 and 130 so far this year.

Cooper at 111 and 114 the last two years. 108 this year coming into today

Duvall crushes lefties as we all know.

Their lineup doesn't have stud hitters everywhere but they are solid and deep right now.

They don't have automatic outs like the Braves do currently.

The offense will pick-up and I still have confidence in our rotation in the longer-term. That said, hard to ignore some serious concerns that are the difference in these close games...

6-9 is a big problem right now and killing us - Swanson should pick-it up but overall this is not a particularly deep line-up
Pen is clearly 1-2 short and clearly needs another righty.
While our pinch hitting has been surprisingly good, we are still seeing the effects of a weak bench in our daily line-up. Feels like most of our teams in the past have benefitted from at least 1 if not 2 true utility sparks that can play all over the field and be a true 10th man starter. Simply don't have that this year, and we've got no offense from back-up catcher

Overall we've got a very solid ~20 man roster, but really feels like the depth on this team does not match a typical braves playoff team.

Letting Duvall go has single handedly arguably cost us two games. That alone would be worth the price! Getting rid of him knowing center field and 3rd base were going to be big potential gaps was not a good decision.

Not the way we've been playing. I get the issue on depth, but there were cheaper options than Duvall that could have been pursued that would be upgrades over what we have. Duvall had a great night on Tuesday, but it's our bullpen that has killed us recently.
