GDT 4/15: Time to turn it around

How soon until Contreras comes up? Jackson aint it.

I think he's too valuable to have him only play once a week.

Since one option is going back unlimited times, can he play in AAA for 3 days and then play one day in MLB and just repeat the cycle?

I can't imagine we will have the money to pay TDA next year. Acuna's money goes up big. Possibly FF on a new deal. Dansby last year of arb. Etc Etc. We need Contreras ready to be the guy and he needs a ton more plate appearances.

Just noticed Heredia throws LH and bats RH. Only other guy like that I can think of is Ricky Henderson.

Is that as rare as I think it is?

Yeah, pretty rare. I think the next best hitters in this category (after Rickey) are Ryan Ludwick and Cody Ross. Definitely feels like an OF only profile (maybe 1st?).

Didn't the gNats start out like 19-30 or something the year they won the WS? Not freaking out yet - the offense will be fine as our collective BABIP was absurdly low as of a few days ago. Definitely annoying that we loaded up on SPs and they are mostly injured or underperforming so far. Ynoa has been a nice bright spot though. Maybe Wilson will pitch well when he comes up a few days

It's early like you say and I agree with your synopsis on the disappointing pitching performances. We've just looked so bad. Some things will normalize, but this team certainly isn't bulletproof.

So the solution to the offense seems to be Ender/Heredia in CF, and Panda at 3B?

Probably only for the next 10 days or so but yes...I assume they will turn back to pumpkins soon.

Riley and Pache need to show they can hit the ball hard in the air before they come back.
