GDT 4/2 : The Palm Sunday Debut of the Shuster!

Fried injury a killer until Wright is back.

3 out of every 5 nights is literally rookie, rookie, rookie (if Elder is still a rookie). And all low-upside rookies.

Not sure how much of this is Schuster being legitimately terrible or just a massive choke job in his first start. It’s not like they’re hammering him.

He might very well be good, and rant aside, how is our scouting department in 2020 drafting in the first round a pitcher that tops out at 91 with average secondary's? Just seems fairly obvious a guy that won't strike out people and does not throw the ball fast or with good movement would not be a 1st round pick.

At least when Wright struggled, I was like ok, this dude has some stuff

Yes, it's only 4-0 but Gore is Washington's best pitcher and is a really good young pitcher -- Braves will need to chip away soon because Washington isn't done scoring today.

Shuster did allow more runs to Washington's first 7 batters than all the other Braves pitchers combined in the first 18 innings. I'm hoping it was just nerves, and he settled down with those last 3 batters.

Maybe it was nerves and he’s settled down now. I remember he got rocked his first AAA game and then was great after the first start
