GDT 4/20: Holmes is the Easter Beagle

Acuna will/has already realized that the public forum was not the place to air this. They will handle it between them and it will soon blow over.

We need to allow it to blow over too.

I don’t know. It’s pretty clear that Acuña has never had a lot of love for Snitker since that 2019 incident. This isn’t the first time he or someone in his corner has openly criticized him.

On the surface and in real life it looks and smells like a double standard. And the bs for Acuna resonates with me because of all the being hit and Twit not retaliating to the times it doesn't seem like Twit stands up for Acuna. And yes Acuna has done some boneheaded things. The Braves way bs should have applied to JK. IMMEDIATELY.

But as been stated...let's move on. A win...woo hoo.

The two bigger problems I see here are 1. Snit being "unaware" Kelenic was pimping that ball and that's why he got thrown out on what should have been a standup double. 2. Acuña still apparently not having matured to where he can bury something that happened six years ago or keep that shit behind the scenes. Tweeting about it publicly and hiding behind the screen is something an insufferable Karen school mom would do.

DOB needs to mind his own business and quit trying to stir the crap. We just won a series, and a sweep at that. DOB didn’t even post the full interview in which Snit said he handled it this morning. Snit handled this well, DOB isn’t.
Are you outside of your mind right now?

The only way Snit could have handled this worse is by straight up saying that the difference is JK is white.

Snit is getting roasted and deservedly so. Imo, considering Acuna is our franchise player and considering how shitty of a job Snit has done, I would fire him tomorrow. There is zero reason to piss off your mega star or create division throughout the roster with players conflicted on who to support. Snit is the problem here. Remove him.

I'm old as hell and I wouldn't have let the shyt go. Maybe Twit can learn to have his back on occasion. Go full Karen and scorched earth. 😂😂

We know he’s incompetent, no one thinks he’s racist.

Jeez. Board leader always leaning into the pot stirring assumptions lol

Snit is a 70 year old white dude. If he wasn't a little racist, it would be extremely surprising.

That doesn't mean he is burning crosses or calling folks racial slurs under his breath. But if you sat with him long enough, he'd probably say some off the cuff remark like calling Asians "orientals" and thinking it's ok.

That’s why I think it will be handled behind closed doors and blow over pretty quickly.

Both of them will realize that it’s not good for the team to allow this to fester. They will talk it out and it will be over.

They both made a mistake… Acuna by saying it publicly, and Snit by not addressing it.

Acuna has already removed the Tweet.

You can let shit go but still be upset when you see a clear double standard.

Maybe if there's something deeper there and he's come down on Ronnie for other things we don't know about. Did anyone ever consider that Snit may have changed his approach to these situations? I think you can be like "what the hell" man-to-man and not on Twitter.

It's a hot head moment or a "what TF" moment. For him to watch it and Snit act like nothing happened would be that way for me. Let alone Ronnie's playing out in public when he was yanked. Snit saw Ronnie's oddly enough to take immediate action. So public it is!

T-wit: This is what Snit said when Ronnie did it :
“He didn’t run,” Snitker said. “You’ve got to run. It’s not going to be acceptable here. As a teammate, you’re responsible for 24 other guys, and that name on the front is a lot more important than that name on the back of that jersey. You can’t do that. We’re trying to accomplish something special here. Personal things have to be put on the back burner.”

Fk any excuse Snit had. His handbook said it's not acceptable. But he didn't see JK?

OK. NOW..I'm done.

I mean it's the way athletes (particularly star athletes) communicate nowadays. There doesn't seem to be any love lost between Snit and Ronnie. And TBH, I think it's an indictment on the FO that they haven't moved on from Snit before now, knowing the relationship between your super star and your Manager is the way that it is. But it seems Snit is part of the good old boys club within the organization, so he stays around.

We are talking about something that happened in 2019? With a guy who at the time was a kid more or less and the future leader of the team, okay you want to pay a lot of attention to that situation.
Then a guy a couple of days ago who is basically not important to your team probably has played his way out of future plans...
And the manager got slack or distracted and he wasn't 24/7 monitoring the dude and allowed it to slip past him. We all know, and Snitker knows too, what should have happened. It was poorly handled, but the biggest thing about it by far to me is that Acuna still harbors resentment.

This is just an excuse to start something, about something bigger. It'll end up being money.

Acuna is gonna get paid. This incident won't have jack to do with that. Acuna made a post. He ain't wrong. Public or not.
