Farmer is also 35 and has played a grand total of 6 big league innings in LF. I don't think what he did vs LHP 5 years ago is all that relevant to the guy he is today. The last 2 seasons he has posted a .751 OPS and a .767 OPS against LHP. Last season, White was at .736 OPS vs LHP. He only had a handful ABs in 2024, but he mashed them in 2024.

The minimal offensive difference we are likely to get from Farmer over White at this stage of their careers is not likely to offset the defensive difference (which is likely significant).

Farmer will be gone in 2-3 weeks and then Dubon can get these PAs without the nightly bitch fest.

I would just put heating pads in all that batting armor. Get him a chest protecter for kids too. Maybe some shin/feet guards for his right foot to finish it off. He should be fully protected and warm after all that.

Then he can go get picked off for the 17th time this year in comfort.
