GDT: 4/21 Braves VS Astros

Just a reminder...

Olson last year thru 89 PA: 163 wRC+
Olson this year thru 88 PA: 161 wrc+

Do I need to remind you he finished below .800
Ops last year? He starts fast, and he falls off a cliff

Can I close by saying how much I hate Apple TV games?

Poor production, poor sound, stupid probabilities, bad announcers, and on a subscription service even though many of us already pay for a subscription service to get the majority of the games.

Please stop it.

Meh, he’s had some luck this season but it’s not a fluke that he keeps absolutely destroying baseballs. Only concern for me are the strikeouts.

Right after the Minter balk, Krantz should have been on the mound talking him out of trying to groove a heater. I am the dumbest person this side of Goober, and I knew dang well that’s what Minter was gonna do.

So, can we please learn from this (another shoulda’ been a win) - Jesse doesn’t need to pitch in that spot ever again, we need better management of pitchers in certain spots like Minter just now….. and it’s about time we talk to Ronnie about launch angles … ok- see I toldja’ I was dumb- but if you told me he was carrying a .380 batting average a full three weeks in, I woulda’ wondered if he had a legit shot at the April HR record …( I know you don’t tinker with the swing of a guy hitting like this - I know, I know, ….just sayin’ )

I wonder if Snit was thinking in the 9th after that Alvarez homer: "man we had a nice day off yesterday. I wonder if I Just pitched my best guys in the 7th-8th-9th to begin with would we be in this situation"

He, in fact, did not finish with an OPS below .800 last year.

You're right, .802. That's pretty garbage for what we need from him

He’s been bad lately but just as bad is the league leader in double plays.
Atleast aids is striking out instead of killing rallies with one swing like the man behind him lol
They will get it going I’m sure soon.
Just need Mike back so we can sit Pillar and make him the defensive replacement he is at this point in life.

Well, tough loss, but there‘s going to be a few like that.

Now let‘s please realize that Chavez is a mop up guy, nothing more. If Snit keeps pitching him in high-leverage spots, these results will repeat.

Sun came up today. Jesse and Olson, who have had great seasons so far, just caught my ire after 2 tough losses last night (braves and miss state). On the bright side, I went to harrah's here in NOLA after the game, and I won $800. That's close to a year's salary in Mississippi.

Serious question... do the brave ever score after the 1st 3 innings?

Since I'm bored this morning, I checked this out...

Braves innings 1-3: 52 runs in 60 innings
Braves innings 4-9: 49 runs in 120 innings

So the braves have scored 51.4% of their total runs in the first 3 innings. I sorta thought it would more than that. Still, that's pretty high to me. Not sure why we smoke pitchers early, and then sorta struggle after that
