Interesting tidbit on radio broadcast last night... Jim Powell asked the braves' analytic guys about how accurate the superimposed strike zone box is on tv. The answer was that east-west, pretty accurate... north/south, not so much

It is definitely Acuna time- I was thinking that the last two nights- we need one more serious threat in the lineup. Acuna in the six hole to start, and if he mashes, could move him to fourth as soon as possible....

The top and bottom of the zone are set manually for every batter, so it’s not surprising it’s fairly inaccurate.

Would be nice to get this one in today, so we can potentially avoid having Thor or DeGrom start in the makeup game, even though I like Wheeler a good deal.

Yeah, I'm sure they'd like to. AA has said as much. But Acuña is 5 for his last 22.

They should just call Acuna up for the Reds series. It’s basically the same thing as AAA pitching.
