GDT 4/23/22: Braves vs Fish - Going for .500

Acuna is hitting. If he's out there stealing bases and sliding head first into home, why can't he be playing in Atlanta?

Interested in the plan for Strider going forward. I liked the idea of piggybacking Elder and Strider, don’t love him being a middle reliever like this.

Ump should have just put Anderson on first before the pitches and saved Strider the effort. 4 strikes

Good point by Marlins broadcast, why shift against a punch and judy hitter with a guy throwing 101?

Bases loaded, nobody out...this is nothing short of torture. Not being able to deal with prosperity is hardly a good omen for the outcome of this game.

I’m really confused at the Strider inning here. You’ve got Matzek/Jansen ready for the 8/9 innings. Go O’Day for their righties this inning, you’ve got Will Smith out there as an option as well. Why is Strider forced into a role he’s never filled in a one-run game?
