I have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that Flowers went from being a perfectly acceptable MLB backup catcher to completely out of baseball over the course of a few months. Meanwhile, the Braves are giving PAs to Alex Jackson.

Totally speculating - I wonder if they’ve told Acuna to be more cautious on the bases for a little while to make sure he’s fully healed. He hasn’t dove back to first once since reaching and has smaller leads than usual.

Wilson can't throw strikes consistently so why would he try to pick off a runner where the throw has no room for error.. Pick off attempt went for 2 base error.
