GDT: 4/27 Braves vs Marlins: Get Away Day

Olson over the last 15 games:

56 AB 4HR 8 BB/ 27 K (48%) .196/.297/.464

Last 7 games:

23 AB 1HR 5BB 11K (48%) .174/.321/.348

Dude has been a steaming pile of dog**** now for a few weeks. Time to wake up.

The fact we are playing well when he has been trash and we have all those injuries, really speaks to the depth this team has

But after this batch goes through they will be clear. Just hate to waste such a solid start from Wright

Yes- I hate having to tear up our bullpen with Mets coming. Would have loved Kyle to go deep and then let it be called.

Sliver lining is marlins junk machine won’t be pitching either.

Feels like 1st to score will win this, tough to get much going with the weather today.

Doesn't Riley have like a 110 wrc+ since signing his deal?

I worry less about Olson right now - even in a horrendous year last year as far as the ups and downs he dropped 34 bombs, 78 xbase hits, and was 3.4 WAR. I think he should "easily" hit 35 bombs this year, maybe even 40-45 and unfortunately he will also probably strike out 175-200 times and hit 250-260. Hitting 240 last year he still had a 325 obp, he was 370 the year before and he is 375 this year. Point being I think that is just who he is... a 240-270 hitter depending on the year, that should strike out like crazy and hit a bunch of bombs

The irony to me is more just that we signed Olson through his mid 30's, and he profiles to me like someone that could be at risk of a steeper earlier decline. Sort of worry he could fall of a cliff in young 30's
