Some people want to share knowledge. Some people want to tell others they are smarter. You guys decide what's happening here.

Some go about it better than others. But it's hard to deal with 100 years of ignorance ingrained into some people.

It’s clear one party has impulse control problems, despite otherwise great content. What’s not clear is why so many other posters let this impulse-control deficit remove their own abilities to be civil.

It’s really not that hard to ignore or make a joke out of, let’s be honest, pretty middling and toothless insults.

That was pretty much my idea for SAV the other day in the staff forum.

The other subs tried to split the forums into pozzy and negi. That isn’t the issue.

Simply remove those sections and add an analytics sub forum. Call it BravesGraphs, or something someone more creative than me can come up with.

Most of things I post are done as a way to save some work for reference later. It allows me to link it in the future when appropriate.

Because you make intelligent and respectful posts, even when you disagree.

Most other posters get upset when someone points out that they are, in fact, stupid.

This is the problem right here. Pure arrogance. Who are you to determine what is intelligent or not? You have had your fair share of gaffes on here just as everyone else has had here. That doesn't give you the right to go into attack mode because you believe someone is wrong.

There are other things. How about saying that the advanced hitters in AAA would give Allard trouble? WRONG! You have this idea that others should ignore your insults. You could also ignore others if you think they are wrong or act like an adult and show them where they wrong without the insults. That's not asking that much.

I said AAA hitters can crush 88-89 MPH fastballs.

I did not say he would struggle in AAA. Many pitchers with mediocre stuff handle AAA just fine.

At any given time there are 5-6 posters desperately trying to prove me wrong about something. I can’t answer them all every single time.

You're still trying to BS you're way out of it. You may fool others but you don't fool me. I've been around too many people like you in my life and I can read you like a book. I still need to know why you can't ignore the "dumb" posters or correct them with civility.

I do. The Albies flyball thread is a perfect example. Gov clearly didn't know what he was talking about, posted stats that he didn't understand when trying to desperately be right, and gets called out on it.

There are other examples as well if you look hard enough.

I did know what I was talking about. He feels that Albies should stop hitting so many fly balls. I don't. He insulted me repeatedly, I got fired up and told him to blow me. He can make his point and even educate me without being a dick. Instead he gets personal.

You're blaming someone for getting raped, blaming someone for getting t-boned in an intersection. The guy's an ass.

You and plenty of others are good with analytics without the arrogance and lack of civility. I'd have banned him years ago.

As for the sibforum for analytics, he says he'd never visit the "casual" board if there were an analytics board. Let's find out.
