GDT 4/7/22: World Champions vs. Reds - Opening Day

Without Ronnie at the top the bottom of the lineup is straight ass.
We legit have a AAAA DH and Rosario hitting lead off.
Hopefully Austin,Ozzie,Olson, and Ozuna carry us until he’s back.
Hopefully Dansby and the burmuda boys at the bottom luck into some hits tomorrow.

He also didn't make 2 plays that's I'm pretty sure he'd have made last year.

He needs a good game tonight
 
While disappointed that we lost last night, it actually was nice to not feel too terrible about it.

Reds had a ton of soft hits...it happens....Braves crushed the ball all over the field, right at defenders...Ozuna and d'Arnaud probably both had a HR if it was a little warmer.

The worst part of the night was McHugh leaving a hanger and Dansby's overall play
 
To me, the worst part was the defense on the outfield corners. Which wasn't surprising, but still. A good OF would have thrown out the Reds runner on that sac fly liner, or the runner wouldn't have tried. And then when Moose forgot how many outs there were, he should have been dead at second and that would have kept it at 3-1. The first RBI single of the game, Ozuna couldn't get anything on the throw to challenge a catcher running there without hesitation. I'd rather see Heredia in center and Duvall in right or vice versa. Rosario in left and DH Ozuna. We could lose several close games with that setup from last night. Poor defense cost us at least five runs.

Yeah, the bullet hit by Ozuna that the pitcher caught by accident exemplified the night as a whole. If it gets by the pitcher it scores a run and continues the inning.

Dansby was straight trash. Probably pouting that Acuna aired some stuff about his bestie.
 
Little dink and dunk action on Fried last night.

Thought overall he looked good.

Riley is a beast.

Ozuna hit a few balls well.

WE NEED ACUNA BACK IN THE LINEUP.

what a strange post. i’m frustrated by him last night too but he’s been solid. i’m not sure who overrates him exactly. not every #1 pick turns into a stud and it wasn’t even the Braves pick.
