We just disagree. Based on Stanton's angle, he was either catching it or it was going over his head to the wall. So if he catches it, you're out if you're past 2nd, and if he doesn't, you're scoring if you're still between 1st and 2nd.

Sure, Stanton rarely catches it, but there's nothing to gain from being that far off 1st there.

If I recall correctly, Stanton made a similar game saving catch in Atlanta last year to stun the Braves. I believe he made that catch going to his left though.

Rarely? Stanton has done that a few times to us in his career. Dude is no slouch out there. Markakis did nothing wrong.
