I don't think that's the way to win a championship. I mean I believe you build the core of your team that way but you have to be willing to bring in a difference maker to get you over the top.

I'm sure someone has but not sure who. Maybe Red Sox?

I'm with thethe. I'm not out on FA, I'm out on marquee FA. You pay too much and they rarely work out. Very very rare.

Sign some 1-3 year deals in the offseason to supplement holes that every organization has. No monster deals for 4+ years and over 50 million bucks. If they will let you have team options, then great. But I would not want to sign someone for much more than 2 seasons from outside.
