GDT 4/8 Cosmic Charlie and his merry band of Easter Hitters

Jason Heyward just hit his third homer of the year; I think we could probably get him from the Dodgers.

This pisses me off to no end.

Me being a moron: “We need to sign JayHey!!!!”

Board : “Hula, you are a moron”

AA : “I’m signing Pillar and Hilliard “

Heyward didn’t suddenly figure it out. His numbers will still look mediocre at the end of the season.

Thankfully, the Braves are still 6-3, Max Fried and Kyle Wright should be back soon, Michael Harris’ IL stint is precautionary and the Braves have Sean Murphy as C1 (as it should be anyways) to at least slightly minimize the d’Arnaud news.

Everyone calm down.

A really horse-crap winter. I don't know what it was like up in NoDak, but it wasn't that cold here in the Twin Cities, but the melting and re-freezing ripped up the roads and made the sidewalks look like bas-relief maps. Treacherous. Mrs. 50# broke her wrist while walking the dog when she hit a patch of ice. So the extremes weren't that bad, but the winter just went on and on and on . . .

3rd snowiest winter on record. Only 1.8 inches from the record. I hate it lol

If any team was going to fix Heyward and make him useful it was the dodgers. Doesn’t mean he would have been salvaged in Atlanta.

Not ideal to have 6 of your core players have to go to the IL at the beginning of the season

Seems like most of those other than Iggy should be back soon but yes obviously isnt ideal at all.

I have noticed that several teams have had players get injured early in the season. It certainly begs the question of whether ST is an effective way of getting them prepared for the season.

I don’t have any data, just an observation.

A few facts - we have not been playing our best baseball- in fact we’ve been about as bad as you can be—walking batters, making errors, having a lot of very poor at bats and etc. We have had to trot Schuster out there twice. We have 6 important players on the DL.

In nine games we have played two top shelf playoff teams and had six games on the road.
In all three losses, we had the tying run at the plate.
We own the second best record in the NL.

We are about to get some serious help from the
Injury front …..
Dylan Dodd (#gonnawinROY) gets his first start in Truist tonight!

Love it!!

:)

Happy Easter you degenerates

This team will be fine. It’s still probably the top team in the NL when healthy. At the end of the season I fully expect us to win the East again.

Meanwhile …. Grissom went 2-3 with a walk and a SB, is hitting .429, has hit safely in all seven games and hasn’t struck out. Not once in 37 ABs.

I’d give Ozuna another month and if he hasn’t done anything then he’s a bench warmer full time.

No point in having Ozuna as a full time bench warmer. If he's unplayable the might as well DFA him and fill that roster spot with someone who can hit or play defense. I'm waiting to see when Grissom starts taking reps in LF.

If we have to give him more time I'd give him to 100 PAs. If he's still a net negative WAR player, cut him and don't look back.
