We're looking at keys today. Obviously we need all of our young players to develop, but I think Newcomb and Dansby are two that have potential that there are very legitimate questions about. If they can realize their potential then this team could be a lot better than projected. Of course the jury is still out. Newc looks good today, but with him it's about control and consistency. Dansby really does look like he's made adjustments, but it will take some time to be sure.

Is there a stat for non competitive pitches? IMO that is the deal with newk. His stuff is so good if he’s close it’s tough. He just has a history of throwing too many that have no hope of being a strike.

I don’t think dansby is this good. If he’s the 3 war guy we thought that is a big change.
