GDT: 4/8 Tehearn Takes on Coors

They probably don't want Camargo manning a spot in that massive outfield of theirs. We need Ender's defense in this series. But I wouldn't mind shifting Acuna to RF and having Johan play for Nick.

Your idea honestly makes the most sense. I'm not sure why they didn't lean that way or who knows if they even considered it.

Keep Acuna in right and move Neck to LF as well

I didn’t understand putting Johan in RF anyway. Even at turner. Your weakest OF defender should be LF. Someone needs to tell twit that when you replace the RF the guy replacing him doesn’t have to play that position.

Well Camargo does have an exceptionally strong arm and I'm pretty sure that there is more ground to cover in LF than in RF at Suntrust. So I think keeping Acuna in LF and Camargo in RF is justifiable at home.

This is a good point- Camargo has a damn cannon

No minor league thread yet, but I have to report that Sean "Rock the" Kazmar, Jr., has hit his first HR of the year in Gwinnett's 6-run first inning. They lead the Bulls 6-0 after one.

Speaking of catching, when will start to get reports on Jackson's framing abilities? Some people have said that he looked like he had pretty good receiving skills last night (I was streaming so I didn't get to watch the game). If he turns out to be a plus framer then that could buy him a lot of time to figure out how to make enough contact to tap into his power.

I'm guessing as soon as next week as Flowers and Mac already have framing numbers.

I’m not sure about framing sample sizes, but I’m going to guess there needs to be thousands of data points before the framing metrics are anything but noise.
