Yeah it sucks for you. It's 2014 and the only way to find out a baseball game start time is to log on to this message board. No idea how we ever functioned before.
Who is arguing this?
I don't ask much, but GDT's are an important part of this site. All I ask is it remain consistent, with enough information for people to know about the game.
You posted the thread before the lineups came out, then updated it afterwards. I specifically have said multiple times I don't want the GDT's to be posted until the lineups and all information have been publicly confirmed. I don't care WHO is making the GDT's, as long as the formula remains the same. If that gets in the way of your system, then I'm sorry my friend but it isn't going to work. Your system can still work fine, all I'm asking is you follow procedure.
No GDT's until the lineups are posted publicly from a legitimate source. No more making GDT's with zero information in the original post. I had no issue with UNC making projected lineups and GDT's, because he actually took time to post his GDT's with personal thoughts and basically an essay like horsie used to do. Plus he's new so I'm not going to alienate him. If you're posting a GDT, and then leaving a blank OP then it's useless.
If it's too difficult to post the pitching probables, at minimum OUR lineup, and start time, there's plenty of other people who don't mind posting the GDT when everything is ready to go.
I see absolutely no reason to get the GDT up asap unless everything is publicly available. I'm exactly one of those people that come here for the lineups and start time. I'm busy on the go most of my day, and I don't care to go on ESPN or MLB or download an app. I have this site for my convenience and everyone else's, and if it's an inconvenience for you because you feel it's not necessary or needed, then once again we have plenty of other people who don't mind making it. I'm not asking you to change your system, or I'm not telling you to stop. I'm asking a little bit of effort to get it done right, the same way we've been doing GDT's for years dating back to the Scout and Fanhome days.
