GDT: 5/03 - Braves @ Fish

Game we need to win and we do something dumb because unwritten rule. So ****ing ignorant.

And then they decide the best time is to load the bases in a tie game. And then they miss him. And then Gausman gets ejected with no warning. And then Touki walks him on 4 pitches.

Everything about that was retarded.

I know it was intentional but you still give him a warning and then see if it’s settled.

20 years ago everyone would have accepted he would have gotten plunked. 50 years ago Urena would have needed to be afraid after the stunt he pulled. We’re going soft if you can’t deal with a punk. That’s what the unwritten rules are about.

Hopefully that's phased out of baseball like speedy leadoff hitters

Embarrassing display of ineffectuality.

You’ll get your wish. It’s not just baseball but society is going soft. We used to be better.

Yes, truly, society—a material concept designed for humans, who depend on a collective existence to survive, to mutually support each other—is getting worse because it is doing a better job being materially supportive of its constituents. Logic, indeed, entirely checks out.

This. This right here. More concise, while also being more eloquent. You need to be my ghost writer.

Just finished my MFA Thesis, so the price is going up—though not as astronomically as our board fees, thankfully.
