GDT 5/1/17: Braves vs. MUTTS

When the Mets opened CitiField a few years ago, they couldn't hit a ball out of the place so they moved the fences in and lowered the walls. Early returns say we have the opposite problem. I can't imagine how bad it's going to be when the weather heats up.

Wish we had back julio and inciarte on for ff. That was our shot and we blew it. Oh well... 2 losses in a row and I'm sure enscheff will be back shortly

Ops around .820 this year and a career ops around .780. That sucks?

No it doesn't. He has been good this year which has been all of one month. The previous 4 years he has had a 726 OPS with a 100 OPS+. Average is the word I would use to describe that. His 784 carer OPS and 111 OPS+ I would consider above average.

Fair enough... those you were implying he was bad

All that was mentioned was ops. So if Markakis' career .780 is bad for a rf then jhey's .760 is even worse, no?

Nobody mentioned Nick being a bad hitter for his career. Also implying Heyward's 760 career OPS is worse than Markakis' career 780 OPS shows a lack of understanding on park effects and offensive era's.
