I hate this stupid ass conversation lmao but yeah, Freddie will go down as being the better player regardless... three titles, an MVP, WS MVP. It is what it is. But Matt is a WS title away from being my favorite. Love Freddie, but Matty O is my dude.

I do hope we can get Freddie back for his final 2-3 seasons and see if he can get to 3k hits and maybe even 500 homers (unlikely but possible). He needs about 3 more seasons after this year to get to 3k hits, assuming he remains good/healthy enough to get 600 PAs each season (and assuming there isn't a lengthy strike).

A 2-3 year deal after the 2027 season to let him play out his final seasons in Atlanta as the primary DH would be fantastic.

That would be a good story. But I just don't see AA committing to a full time DH anymore.
 
Sale and Holmes like an extra day. Elder likes to stay on his regular schedule.

The order might not be consistent, but they ought to be able to make that work.
 
We are a quarter of the way through the season. Braves have the 1st, 10th, and 12th best position players by fWAR in the NL. They also have the 1st and 7th best starterse by ERA in the NL.

Two separate 10-game win streaks, I guess. But here is the thing, we are a game better and have been so consistent that we haven't needed an uber streak to achieve our record to date. If we go on a 10-15 streak tomorrow, that would all but eliminate the Mets, Nats, and Marlins, and it's only May. That's crazy.
