I want to see the exit velocity on that Acuna grounder.

110 mph. Not sure when it started but mlb's gameday now posts that right after a play in their Feed section. Pretty awesome.

If you recall, I questioned that report based on his previous game where he was averaging at least 94 mph.

I really hope Gohara can get his conditioning/weight in order because he could be a stud.

Yeah no freaking kidding.

One could just as easily credit Folty for being a gamer that doesn’t want to leave the game. It’s all so very silly trying to dissect these guys every moment.

What we should be saying about Folty is complementing him for improving his body and refining his technique so he can throw these effortless 100 mph fastballs in the sixth inning.

Folty definitely has his faults, but so far this year, I've seen a much better pitcher than years past. He doesn't get rattled nearly as easily after a big hit or an error. And as noted, still bringing the gas late in the game.

Will he ever be more than a Matt Garza type of pitcher or will he continue his progress and become more of the James Shields type I see in him? Who knows, but I like the improvement he's showed.
