Can't picture Beltre playing anywhere other than Texas - and that's IF he decides to hang around for another year.

I can picture him playing in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Boston.

yes...Snit has stopped overusing him...but I thought he should have gone to someone else in the 6th

True. But once you have been warmed up it makes no sense to not come in. It's basically an appearance as it is.

Yeah, but bullets are bullets - should have saved as many as possible in games that are out of hand.

Biddle now HAS to be the first lefty out of the pen tomorrow night after Freeman's been used on back-to-back nights and Gohara went 3 innings.

It may be Gohara has had issues maintaining his velocity later in games in the minors so far. He was hitting 97 a lot early, 96-97 mph that first inning. But this last one he was 93-95 and hitting 93 mph the most.

Great point... I also have been wondering if they brought him up for pen work to get some mechanical issues worked out? I know the Chuckster isn't the most beloved pitching coach around here, but maybe he & Gohara worked well together last year and they are hoping CH can find the right tweak? Might be a reach, but the fact that he didn't pitch right away after the callup might be a sign that they are working on the delivery

I agree with the idea that they want to limit his innings, keep him motivated, and keep a close eye on his eating/drinking habits.

He could have struck out Realmuto with high FB and high sliders but he didn't.

Prado loves hitting against pitchers like Folty as he will go the other way EVERY FREAKING TIME!!!

agree 100%... during both of those ABs I was desperately wanting to see the FB up & in on the hands, just once to get those guys off the outer 3rd

He has a good slider when on his game, I know he did well tonight. But he still looks to be in ST mode to me. Might take a few more starts in AAA.
