GDT: 5/10 Braves vs Red Sox: The Lineup Wet Dreams Are Made Of.

Elephant in the room was the GDT.

And Ozzie giving up five at bats.

And Minter is garbage.

And if Iglesias doesn’t do what he did, we mighta’ coulda’ scratched one across on Kenley - but three runs is different deal

That and we put our best lineup (maybe - wish Ozuna was in there) against a scrub - and you just knew he was gonna bushwhack us.

And the Mets won.

And to top it all off, tomorrow is another stinkin’ off day to discuss how we need trade pieces and pitchers.

😁

The offense needs to be forced to watch that game a couple times. Lots of ugly ABs against a bad pitcher. Some nights you just phone it in I guess.

Still don't agree with not letting Lee finish the 3rd inning after getting 2 outs. He had no hard contact, gave up no hits, and was cruising. I understand not wanting him to face the top part of the line up a second time, but he already had 2 outs....

McHugh came in and got that out, then had to sit for the bottom of the inning, then go back out for a fresh inning where he gave up a run or two. Feels like it could have been different if he went into that inning fresh and warmed up.

There was that one stretch in august when the few times we lost it was on him. And he dang near blew multiple more. I dreaded seeing him come into games. Until the end - then he somehow found “it” again. It was like he needed the pressure of the Mets series and the pennant race

yeah. Moylan was commenting on it postgame about losing the feel for the cutter. After about a two week rough patch, he literally blew folks away and Moylan said he's back. No worries here.

Surprised there isn't as much doom and gloom around here after last nights loss. I guess a franchise best start to the season will do that.

Yeah -it’s funny and all, but damn. It’s surprising how bad they are. I just looked it up assuming they were dead last in runs scored, but they aren’t - they are only number 21, but that’s still bad. So, it could be worse - but losing all these series in a row to these bottom feeders is not exactly what that big payroll was designed to produce. Worst team money can buy.
And their fans can suck it.

I wanna make fun of the Mets and Phillies, but we were the around .500 team last year looking up at the Mets' big lead.

I concur. They could turn it around just like we did last year, and with Fried and Wright out, I am a little concerned about that

While I agree with being cautious, the Phillies and Mets don’t have the young core we have. Even if we lose one big bopper from injury in the lineup, our offense is still absolutely stacked.
