Perez when he's on and throwing strikes, has that sinker going and mixing pitches enough, can look great for stretches. But when his control is off he looks pretty bad. It would be nice if he could find more consistency as if so he could become a good starter in MLB. But otherwise more likely a long-man IMO.

Baby Harang must have made an adjustment while in AAA. He throws a complete game shutdown down there with only one walk and he's getting the ball over the plate tonight.

I think small is still too big for describing the way we're playing.

Keep in mind he didn't get regular work as a starter during spring training because they wanted to look at other candidates for the rotation. Then he had one start on short rest.

Yea, looks like he fixed his mechanics and has a bit more velocity and better control too. Hope he can find consistency with it as I saw the same from him last year in AAA and therefore thought higher of him than some here. But then in MLB things sorta fell apart after his apparent injury and was left in, and really since then he hadn't impressed me as much. At least until tonight as he looks great tonight.
