GDT 5/13/26: Braves vs Cubs - What Does Farmer Have To Do?

He's hitting a buck 94
With a .206 BABIP vs a career .306. He's getting insanely unlucky on balls in play. He's also striking out at a career low and walking at a career high. That bad luck will flip at some point and he'll likely finish with his best offensive season since 2022.

That's doubtful. Of course anything can happen but he's 32 and we are a quarter of the way through the season. I'd be shocked if the BB and K numbers stay where they are the rest of the year. And shocked if he ends the year with a WRC+ over 100.

Dansby...
BA - .194 (career -.249)
XBA - .227 (career -.251)

Slg - .360 (career -.412)
XSLG - .413 (career -.438)

Woba - .303 (career - .314)
Xwoba - .329 (career - .329)

We'll see. His metrics are in line with his career averages and several have actually improved. The only thing that's drastically different is the BABIP.

So he'd have to overperform just to get to baseline. Not saying it isn't possible but it gets harder the longer into the season we go. Its not like he's Acuna who can have absurd hot streaks to get back to where he should be.
