Problem is that Culberson isn't a plus defender. He's light hitting which makes people think he's got a great glove. Hes looked very average defensively.

Culberson has a track record of plus defense at short. He is no Simmons, not even close. But he is very good, esp. if you watch him play regularly.
Culberson has a 7 DRS, 0.1 1.7 0.8 2.6 15.2 in 241.2 innings at short.
