It's pretty damn green there, actually: you're either just above, or just below, the Mogollon Rim. Lots of juniper below the rim, a sea of ponderosa above it.

I have to admit, I was spouting off without a sense of the geography of Arizona.

I didn't find Phoenix and Sedona and the areas surrounding and connecting those places to be green enough for my taste. Gorgeous landscapes in their way, but I prefer something wetter.
