GDT 5/2/21: Braves @ Jays - Contreras takes over

Just noticed that our game against Philly next Sunday got picked up for Sunday Night Baseball. This will be the 3rd Sunday night game so far this year with a 4th one scheduled in May at New York. No idea why they'd want that one with SD-SF and LAD-LAA next weekend as well.

More EPSN crap. Can't stand their booth or their telecasts. To much talk about other things not involving the game at hand.

At least the ESPN crew won’t spend innings 5 through 7 explaining to every fan still watching how terrible baseball is nowadays. Tell everyone how great bunts and weak contact the other way was 25 years ago.

Imagine if NFL announcers broke into a “do you think Favre or Ray Lewis would be sitting in that concussion tent right now?”. No, they would never contribute to boomer narratives like that and make their sport sound bad. Instead, NFL announcers are finding new ways to show new cool information to fans, calling in experts to convey the information and rules interpretations.

TdA to 60 DL with sprained thumb.

Alex Jackson to 10 day IL with hammy problem(probably from Puke's pitch in dirt)

Mathis activated

Travis d’Arnaud is having more tests today on his left thumb, but the tests done late Saturday were enough to show it’s a significant injury that would require 60-day IL.

Contreas or pache are gonna have to hit. Can't have 7-9 producing nothing. I'm worried

Agreed. The premise to having Pache learn in the majors was probably predicated on 6 hitters being at their norms or better. Right now they all fit with Pache except a teasing hot streak here or there. It's...putrid.

I saw that "Tom Glavine" was trending on Twitter last night after Acuna's home run. What was he going on about?
