GDT 5-20: The Outlaw and the lucky yellow patch streak rolls on…

Maybe he's better in a few weeks, but he's "legitimately terrible" right now, no?

Yes, I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it as of now. He might still be playing with pain. We just don't know. The biggest difference with his game right now and last year is against 4-seamers, which has always been a strength of his even in the minors. Speed pitches are hurting him (which never did before) which tells me something is probably wrong.

I jumped to conclusions about Xavier Worthy, the star wide receiver for Texas Longhorns. Dude had a bad season last year and he was chided by the fans, including me. We found out that he was playing the second half of the season with a broken hand and the fans never knew.

Then why play. Because you are special. If you being on the field hurt is legitimately losing games then remove yourself and let someone else play. Maybe Harris’s defense is worth keeping him in the lineup but Pilar playing versus a lefty is something that needs to be explored if he is truly hurt.

Reminds me of Freeman’s elbow a few years ago.
