I'm not going to criticize someone like Leo for thinking this way. He was a major part of the 90s Braves and his line of thinking helped the Braves win a ton of games. But he's also not a broadcaster/person of influence in todays game. So his opinion is as relevant as anyone's on this board.

My issue is with the guys who are paid to promote the current brand of baseball and the consensus opinion is that it's not as good as it was 25 years ago.
 
Why do y'all let this bother you? Have you ever visited with your grandparents? They tell you how it used to so great, and you just humor them bc you love them. And I do love the old braves
 
I know Chip can't coax Jeff or Nick to indulge in this conversation like he gets with Glavine, so he'll go with any chance he gets with any guest.

Regardless of the topic, you either adapt or you die. Apparently, too many of the talking heads now are deceased--at least mentally.

Because they are literally telling viewers baseball sucks today when it is losing fans left and right.

They should be promoting the game, not ****ting on it.

Yeah. Not a fan of Glavine broadcasting for this reason. Jeff is getting better imo and part of that as he's a pretty recent retiree. He understands todays game.
 
What it all boils down to is old people unable to understand something, and therefor it’s bad.

Simple as that.
