GDT--5/25-- FRIDAY AT Red Sox

in a one-run game

the list of better options is long: leave Biddle in, bring in any of Winkler, Carle, Moylan.

I understand saving Winkler for later innings or games we are tied or ahead. Still leaves 3 superior options vs Betts.

Other things to consider. Wisler is a fly ball pitcher. This is Fenway. Betts hits home runs. Carle and Moylan are tough on righties. Moylan keeps the ball on the ground. You don't need a super computer to process these things.

He pretty consistently puts in the B and C team from the pen when the Braves trail. It irritates me greatly.

Kimbrel completely blowing acuna away has me wondering... has he struggled with + fastballs this season? That would be very concerning if so

Acuna has struggled after his first blistering hot week in MLB. He was extremely pull happy until very recently when he seems to be making an attempt at changing. How many foul balls has he hit to the pull side? ALOT. In spring training and the minors he was driving the ball to all fields.

Meanwhile Gleybor Torres hit his 9th homer in 28 games today.

Can't believe the Cubs traded him for 2 months of a reliever

I uh, guess this qualifies as an answer

That...certainly is an explanation. No Snit, that was your fourth best option.

Regardless even if the Braves had kept it at one that would've just exposed a real issue. Ender's problems against lefties nonetheless, the Braves have two batters that are struggling very badly right now. Swanson has completely caved strikeout wise and some of it may be injury, but he's at 40.4% since April 26th. That is absolutely horrifying injury or not. Acuna was going to strike out, but his numbers in that book are getting horrifying too.

If neither are playing to even an average level this offense is going to be bad. Can rearrange the chairs but they gotta hit. Regardless.

We had 7 hits and 4 BBs last night but only 2 runs. We're struggling to score but not really struggling to hit. Our luck has gotta change soon.

I don't see where 1-4, walk, zero Ks suddenly constitutes as "struggling".

Albies is one of the few that has looked fine on the road trip. Not every game is going to be like game two vs Philly for him.

Because this board overreacts to every stretch of 25 PAs all the time.

We've had plenty of guys on this week, just havent gotten the big hits.

Had plenty of people on base in Philly, just couldnt get the big clutch hits. Baseball is a cruel, frustrating game.
