GDT: 5/3 Braves @ Marlins : The Wright Stuff

Read an article where they were saying that Wright was choking up in the post game interview. Said that the pain was in the back of the shoulder, so in a different spot that what he had before.

IMO, that's not a good sign and he could be out for quite a while.

I doubt he's a dumb kid. He knows what shoulder problems lead to for pitchers. Hoping for the best but we shouldn't count on him the rest of the year.

for his future, he needs to just call Urias and follow whatever he did to fix it. I would also count him out for the rest of the year. What is crazy is we control him through 2027.. so 4 more years after this one.

I wonder if Dodd is taking his spot or just a one day visit then back down, call up Bullpen guy until Wright's next turn and then call Soroka or someone. I guess we will know if they let Soroka pitchin in AAA this weekend.

Literally half of Ozuna's season production has come in the last 2 days. Can't make that up.

His comments after yesterdays game. Probably the first time he's been interviewed this season

“Last two years, I've been struggling,” Ozuna said. “I have an issue with my family. I have an issue outside the field, and then like, a lot of distractions outside the field. And then my mind don't feel right. So right now, I'm feeling good and I'm right in a way and good with my family and good with my team, and I’m good with everyone outside. So I'm being [more] chilled out. …

“[Sometimes] I try to do too much, I try to show how -- most important for me is to give the best to my team and my teammates and the coaches. And the fans. They pay for -- to see me, so sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed and try to do too much, try to show them what talent I have. I just have to relax, enjoy my game and swing the bat. That's the only way you can be good, swinging the bat.”

One thing I will say it's clear, to me at least, that he's not a clubhouse problem despite what the fans think of him. He would be gone if that wasn't the case.

the double play by Acuna last night was his hardest hit ball since 2021. In fact it it was his hardest hit ball in any season besides 2021.

His statcast rankings are ridiculous for 1 month into the season

If Acuna starts hitting more flyballs he will win MVP, and it won't even be close.

I remember when he came close to the 40/40, he got hurt late in the year and that put a damper on his pace.

This season, it seems like he is really focusing on stealing bases early. We all know he has the power to leave any park he plays in....He is currently pacing 31 HRS and 73 SB. That stolen base mark is crazy

When is Iglesias going to join the big-league club? I'd guess tomorrow? But he's had like four or five appearances in AAA, right?

Earlier this week it was said he was expected back later this week. I wonder if they have him stay down there tonight so he can pitch in back to back games (which he hadn't done yet), and bring him back shortly after that.

Should have traded him when we had the chance to get a kings ransom for him. Even beyond my thoughts about him it's oretty well established that significantly increasing a starters innings in a season leads to injury. They really need to shut him down for the season. Shoulder injuries lead to altering mechanics which leads to arm injuries. Let him try to outch through it and I bet next year he needs TJ surgery.
