Matzek struggling with velocity after throwing 63 innings in the 2021 regular season and another 15 high-leverage innings during the World Series run isn’t shocking.

Leaving him in high-leverage situations when the control and velocity aren’t there, that’s a problem.

I can surely blame him for pointlessly pulling McHugh who looked fine. he walked one guy in which he actually struck him out twice and allowed a weak single. Over managing is a damn crime.
