GDT: 5/9 Babyface Los Bravos (M-m-m-my, M-m-m-my Soroka) @ Heel Dbags (Weaver)

All negativity aside, Soroka is a freaking joy to watch. Love that dude. Newk throws way more strikes out of the BP and Dan Winkler is legit.

He has both the weak contact and strike out stuff for a No No one day. We haven't had a guy with that combo in a while. Since Huddy?

That change he threw Peralta in the 2nd was disgusting and a perfect pitch.

I'm proud of the lack of berating Luke Jackson here, he made one bad pitch and Peralta (kills us already) is a very good hitter and doesn't miss those. Luke was in a tough spot, in a new role still and in a one run game on the road. I honestly figured I'd sign in after the game and it'd be open season on him.

No need to single anyone out - Jackson or otherwise.

They have no one capable of being counted on in the pen to close games. No one.

This is AWESOME:

I was told JD needed to sit because his previous 15 PAs meant he was cold and didn't belong in the lineup...

Then he posted an 1.100+ OPS over his next 13 PAs and completely shot that silly notion out of the water.

Anything new on gohara and o'day? Thought gohara was in throwing, but haven't heard anything lately

No timeline for return
May 8, 2019
O'Day (forearm) remains without a clear timeline for a return from the 10-day injured list, though the Braves are optimistic he'll be reinstated at some point during the summer, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

ANALYSIS
O'Day has been shut down all season after first experiencing soreness in his right forearm in early March. The 36-year-old has yet to even resume a throwing program since spring training concluded, so it appears safe to conclude that his absence will stretch into June. Once he proves he's healthy again, O'Day could have a key role waiting for him in the Atlanta bullpen.
