GDT: 5/9 Braves @ Astros; Santana debuts

Not until June 9th lol....unless they have a really awkward Colon Bobblehead day. It's the same reason they can't send Dansby down. Really smart whoever planned that.

That doesn't matter. Teams have cut/traded/demoted players before bobblehead days before.

I know it's a lot of money, but I would just save face and retire if I couldn't do my job anymore. I doubt he is hurting for cash.

Guess Colon is officially done now. I figured he would have a decent season at least. But he is just god awful.

Listening to how the Astros built their team...it's how it should be done. I hope us cutting corners doesn't come back to bite us.

To be fair, Lane did go hitless in his last 2 ABs.

How is lane as a defender? Maybe we aren't comfortable with him or Santana in cf.

To be fair? LOL at two AB's! That said, Lane's strength is his defense as he has a strong arm and is a good CFer who can also play the corners well. Santana is good in LF but a minus defender in CF, can play there but last time he did regularly he put up a -7 DRS there. Lane is more like Boni in that they're both good in CF and unlike Boni Lane has a strong arm and seems to have some skills with the bat too.

In all seriousness, how much longer can they stick with Colon in the rotation? I could understand if it was 2-3 bad starts but he's been hit in every start but his first one against the Mets.
