GDT: 5/9 Braves @ Astros; Santana debuts

I still love that Snit goes and puts Folty on blast in the media, as if Folty is the problem with this team, and just says he is going to run Colon out there for his next start

what a joke

I never thought Colon would be this horrible. 200 innings, 4.10 ERA or so -- sure. But not this. I can't imagine we don't give our young guns in AAA a shot soon

Leave Sims and Newk down. No need to rush them. Let them sustain success before rushing them up. I would rather see wisler and Blair get a shot before the other two. Let them come up to get killed or learn how to control your stufff.

Count me in the group that sees no reason to rush Newcomb and Sims. Let them sustain their success. Last thing we need is for them to screw up the improvements they've made trying to adjust to the majors.

I generally think rushing players isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be. Watching Swanson I doubt rushing him will cause any long term issues. However, there are guys who I think rushing them could cripple their development. Sims and Newcomb are two of them. I don't want any setbacks with them working on their control.

Let Colon run out there every 5th day. We're not playing for anything this year so a few more losses wont hurt. As for the idea of calling up Wisler or Blair, neither have shown any reason to think they'd be a better option.

ATLANTA -- Mike Foltynewicz spent the past couple of weeks providing reminders that he has the tools and capability to evolve into a legitimate frontline starter. But as the Braves' right-hander labored through Friday night's 10-0 loss to the Cardinals, he proved he is far from a finished product.

"He's been really good, but you need to be really good all of the time," a frustrated Braves manager Brian Snitker said after Foltynewicz matched a career high by allowing seven earned runs over just four innings.

This is literally exactly the opposite of what this board said when Swanson was called up.

Snit understands that Hart and Colon go way back

Lol sure thing man. Lol

Where in that interview did he "blast" Folty? I even watched the video, at no point does he throw him under the bus or make it seem like he's the reason the club is bad. That's...well, that's not even hyperbole. It's just bull****.

You guys talk about running Colon out there every fifth day. Colon doesn't run, so think of another verb. He was an absolute "Smurf" signing in that he's a simply a novelty at this stage of his career. Fat guy who is famous for being a fat guy. "How does he do it? He's so fat."

i don't care his demeanor while saying that to the media

he still put a player on blast that is young and working through things and then just said "i'm going to run Colon out there in 5 days" when brought up about our horrible old pitcher

You suck.
