Contreras being labeled a catcher is much worse. Contreras has 5 PB. TDA had 5 last year in like 100 more innings

Yes but pitchers are going to have to back foot some off speed pitches in the dirt occasionally man...balls in the dirt can be pivotal to an aggressive hitter...like all of ours.
 
No more than he has any idea of how to catch. TDA getting hurt is magnified big time here. Willie needs to be in Gwinnett learning on the job ... not in the show.

The one knee stance helps frame pitches better even though it sacrifices some ability to block balls in the dirt. It's why Flowers had issues from time to time but was one of the best framers in the game.

Not sure if Contreras is learning that on the fly or not.
 
Down 5 in the 5th, chip says it'll take a comeback for the ages. I agree, chip... this team just doesn't have that dangerous feel to them they had the last few years.
