What Newc is doing is so valuable. With starters working fewer innings I think having long relievers who are not just mop up guys and can spot start is important. The bullpen worked 6 yesterday and today could have gotten out of hand.

Not letting guys reach base is the most important quality. Im ok with a guy thats aggressive but lets up some hard contact.

But if you want a guy that is afraid to be aggressive and then gets hit by sequencing luck often then be all means grt lost in atats without understanding them.
