GDT 6/11/22: Braves vs Pirates - Finishing the Homestand Wright

Olson .799 ops

I'm sure he'll get it together, but he's been disappointing

The only difference between Olson this year and every other year is a bunch of missing fly balls. Instead of 24 doubles and 7 HRs he would usually have closer to 15 doubles and 15 HRs.

So that’s my hope…he just needs to get back to lifting the ball more because that’s all he’s missing. Hopefully the only person on the planet that can help him with that isn’t employed by the As.

but seriously, Kyle randomly goes on spells where he’ll walk someone on four pitches and then straight up overwhelm the next batter with nastiness. It’s odd

Yeah, it is weird. He can be pitching great and his old mechanics come back out of nowhere.

I’m setting the over/under date for the first “Contreras needs to be sent down because the league figured him out” or “Contreras was just a fluke flash in the pan” comment on this board at July 9.

I’ll take before.

Even the most bullish Contreras fans could not have seen this start to the season

Nah, tehteh will come in during this hot streak and tell everyone that always knew Contreras was going to be an all star catcher. Then when Contreras is in a slump tehteh will vanish, only to return with amnesia when things turn positive again.
