GDT 6/11/22: Braves vs Pirates - Finishing the Homestand Wright

J
I’m setting the over/under date for the first “Contreras needs to be sent down because the league figured him out” or “Contreras was just a fluke flash in the pan” comment on this board at July 9.

I’ll take before.
Damn.

What Willy is doing is unsustainable.

There’s also no reason to doubt he won’t be an elite offensive catcher. He hits rockets, walks, and the strikeout rate is reasonable.

Agreed… I’m talking about his approach/swing… everything looks completely different.

Curious what Duvall’s offensive numbers are since moving to RF.

In 32 PAs

.250/.250/.563 plus what he’s done today.

So…a typical Duvall hot stretch that probably has nothing to do with his defensive position…just like Swanson isn’t hitting well due to being the in the 2 spot.

Lol, .250/.250.

Let’s congratulate the pirates for hanging on to Reynolds so he could carry the team to a 68 win season.
He’s been bad and batted ball profile was bad.

I was thinking that guy is balling out to say, “please god trade me out of here. I’m good”

Reynolds has to look over at our team, most near his age, with the only real hole in the of and dreaming why can’t I go there.

Lol no… I wasn’t talking about anyone specifically and it wasn’t supposed to be negative either
Ah...I know. Kidding. But from day one I've been just as impressed with his defensive play as his offensive play this year. He's come a long way. When I saw him in the minors, I never really questioned his offense.
